The spotlight this week goes to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #7. If you have an affinity for the turtles, past or present, you owe it to yourself to give this comic a try. Featuring half of the original creative team behind the property, this book offers a new interpretation of the classic story. This week the turtles get their first look at Baxter Stockman and General Krang. How will they handle Stockman’s new Mousers? You’ll have to read to find out.

In the DC Universe, there’s all sorts of action going on. Barry Allen is tasked with solving a murder from over 150 years ago in Flash #6, Mera heads out on her own and discovers some new details about the sinking of Atlantis in the immensely popular Aquaman #6, and it seems like Superman is helping destroy Metropolis, and fighting his way through Supergirl to do it in Superman #6.

On the Marvel side of things, it’s an interesting week as well. The “Circle of Four” team up between Red Hulk, X-23, Venom, and Ghost Rider continues in Venom #13.3 (because who doesn’t love decimal points attached to their issue numbers?), Quentin and Wolverine head to an intergalactic casino to try and make enough money to keep the Jean Grey Institute open in Wolverine and the X-Men #6 (because, why not, right?), and the world finally knows that there’s a new Spider-Man in Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man #7 (I have nothing clever to say about that, I just wanted to keep with the theme of writing something in parenthesis after each description. Consistency is awesome!).

In other news, we’ve got a new story starting up in No Place Like Home #1. Think of it as a wacky, horror twist on the Wizard of Oz. IDW’s Infestation 2 continues this week with Infestation 2: Dungeons & Dragons #2, and the final issues of two Marvel miniseries land with Avengers: Solo #5 and Magneto: Not a Hero #4.

Meanwhile, there’s new Doctor Who and Joker T-shirts coming in, we reach part 4 of “Archie Meets Kiss” in Archie #630, there’s more madness from Marvel including Avengers action figures, Mighty Muggs, Marvel Select Green Goblins, and a new set of Minimates, and there’s even a new issue of Mad Magazine!

But that’s not all! As the Complete Diamond Shipping List will tell you, there’s a whole smattering of other products headed our way. The spotlight this week goes to Road Rage #1. A tribute to Richard Matheson’s novel “Duel”, this new miniseries comes to you from the minds of Joe Hill and his father, Stephen King. This book looks to answer the timeless question: What happens when a biker gang gets chased by a weirdo in a big rig? IF you’re looking for something a little different, look no further.

Speaking of something different, IDW’s Infestation 2 continues this week with 2 new titles. We begin with an adaptation of the D&D campaign “Ebberon” in Infestation 2: Dungeons & Dragons #1, and finish things off with Tobias Muldoon and the Autobots teaming up with Nikola Tesla to reboot Optimus Prime and save America from evil in Infestation 2: Transformers #2. You can’t make this stuff up, folks!

It’s a big week for the DC Universe. The dark knight is still trapped in a subterranean maze with the unstoppable killer named Talon, and as we saw last month, he’s slowly losing his mind. The Court of Owls story arc continues in Batman #6. Also, Wonder Woman has to stop a turf war between Hades and Poseidon from destroying the world of men in Wonder Woman #6, the war between the corps. and the Keepers comes to its conclusion in Green Lantern Corps. #6, and a new adventure begins for the Challengers of the Unknown in DC Universe Presents #5.

Meanwhile, the MArvel Universe is chock full of dealings and goings-on. Morbius is back in all of his undead glory in Amazing Spider-Man #679.1, Mole Man is back in all of his short, frumpy, glasses-wearing glory in Daredevil #9, the Circle of Four story continues to spread Hell across Earth in Venom #13.2, and Bucky teams up with Black widow to figure out who is trying to kill Doctor Doom in Winter Soldier #2.

In other news, there’s a few notable commencements and conclusions headed your way. A few #1′s to look out for this week include Army of Darkness #1, BPRD Hell on Earth: Long Death #1, GI Joe 2: Retaliation Movie Prequel #1, and Star Wars Dawn of the Jedi: Force Storm #1. Conversely, this week’s finales include Dungeons & Dragons: Drizzt #5, End of Nations #4, and Gobs #4.
